GP PTO February 2024 Meeting Agenda

February 27, 2024, at 6:30 pm, GP Library


  • Call to order at 6:30pm
  • Guest Speaker: Chad Sylvester with Washington University: Pediatric Anxiety Disorders and ADHD.  Molly Mendoza is seeking kids to be a part of a study (ages 8-12).
  • Approval of minutes from the November meeting (Mary Ann Vlasich, Secretary).  Minutes approved.

  • Changes to ByLaws were approved
  • Volunteer Handbook Approved
  • 2024-25 Slate-if interested in participating in PTO for Executive Board next ear, please share with Erica or Candance before 3/11 meeting

  • Budget Review.  

VP of  Fundraising Lori Richmeyer

  • Restaurant Nights have been a success
  • March: Raising Cane’s
  • Gator Gear: Spring Sale launching soon
  • School Supply Kits are ready to go for next year and will be launched

 VP of Community Events Lindsey Lawson

  • Trivia Night was a huge success
  • Pizza Bingo and Teacher Raffle went well
  • Food Truck Night-still working on getting food trucks

VP of School Support Jackie Gallagher

  • Review of Spring Conference Dinners. Staff enjoyed and appreciated the dinners and snacks. 
  • Snack Days

VP of School Community Sara Faron

  • Spring Party-Build a bear is coming to make gators.  The other 2 rooms are music and games and they are still working on exact plans.
  • Trail Proposals-looking at repairing benches on the hill, but they are hard to get to.  Possibly move the benches down and repair bridge to make it all handicap accessible.  We have one bid, but need 3.

  • Principal Dr. Paul Godwin
        • City game tickets to be on sale TBD.
        • Worlds of Wildwood 4/25
  • Assistant Principal Angie Schott. 
  • Faculty Representative Nikki Klein.  Thank you for the snacks and conference food. EEA Department and extra donations from the bookfair raised over 600 dollars for free books.  72 free books were provided to students in the building
