Policies and Procedures

The Green Pines library is open every day during regular school hours. Students visit the library with their class or using a pass, and teacher permission, during "Flexible Access". Students in grades K-1, can check out one book. Students in grade 2-5, can check out two books. All students can check out more books for research or other projects as needed. The library is also open for research, typing and quiet reading or study.

With this open door policy, students can visit the library as often as they like with classroom teacher permission. Library classes are scheduled with collaboration between the librarian and teacher. These classes integrate library skills within the curriculum of each unit of study.
